Each year, the Governmental Affairs Committee discusses which issues should be the Coalition’s primary legislative focus, and then presents these statements to the Board for approval. Because our members consist of organizations across the entire spectrum of human service provision, (dealing with issues concerning children, the aging, poor relief, health care, housing, those with disabilities, social and economic justice, and civil rights) we have recently concentrated on advocating for that which is utterly critical to us all.
