ICHS Letter to Senator Donnelly Regarding Budget Resolution

The United States Senate Budget Committee has accepted a Budget Resolution that demonstrates responsible deficit reduction with a fair mix of revenues and budget cuts. The current resolution would mitigate harsh cuts in programs for low-income Americans. The debate is just beginning and it is anticipated that several amendments will be offered on the Senate floor that will directly impact low-income individuals and their families. ICHS has sent a letter to Senator Donnelly to express support of the current resolution and raises concerns related to possible changes that will be made that could disproportionately hurt low-income individuals.
