About ICHS
ICHS members consist of organizations across the entire spectrum of human service provision, dealing with issues concerning children, the aging, poor relief, health care, housing, those with disabilities, social and economic justice, child and sexual abuse, and civil rights.
ICHS has a proven legacy, through over 20 years of advocacy, of speaking out with one voice on behalf of vulnerable and underserved populations in Indiana. We advocate for quality, accessible, and comprehensive services for Hoosiers in need through lobbying & public policy, grassroots organizing, and outreach education. Our vision for the future is that every Indiana citizen will have their basic needs met in order to live a productive life.
FSSA Updates
Indiana Coalition of Human Services (ICHS) believes that everyone can agree on the desired outcome for FSSA modernized or hybrid eligibility system: a system that allows all individuals to apply for, maintain and sustain benefits for which they are eligible in a fair, fully accessible and efficient fashion. As the modernized FSSA system was under review in 2009, ICHS developed a set of principle-based, solution-oriented recommendations.
