ICHS Recognizes John Dickerson and Alex Slabosky

Indiana Coalition for  Human Services presented two prestigious awards on August 27 at their annual meeting.

The Oscar McCulloch Social Concerns award is the highest award given by ICHS and recognizes a person whose advocacy or service has made long-term contributions to improve the lives of people in Indiana.  This award is not given annually but for special people who have made significant contributions to the field of human services over a long period of time.  John Dickerson has received the Oscar McCulloch award due to his lifetime commitment of service to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

The Paul Chase Advocate award pays tribute to a volunteer or staff member who exemplifies the best of human service advocacy in his or her spirit.  Alex Slabosky was unanimously supported as the inaugural recipient of the Paul Chase Advocate award due to his tireless advocacy efforts around healthcare coverage for all.
